I contributed to the music production with a focus on sound design, and handled recording, mixing and mastering. Dodo focused more on composition. Lana Del Rey was the reference for the vibe we were aiming for.
This division of work is my account of the project. The published Shazam credits list Horia Stan and Dael Damsa as producers, and Horia Stan as arranger.
Session details
The session took place at The One Records studio in Timpuri Noi, Bucharest. The project was made in Logic Pro X, using a Neumann TLM 102 for recording. Horia recalls the master at approximately −9 to −8 LUFS; this is an estimate, not an independently verified loudness measurement.

Kingdom sits in the space where dark pop meets cinematic pop. Dense, intentional, built around a love story that earns its emotional weight.

Lana Del Rey was a musical reference for the intended vibe, as described by Horia. This does not imply any collaboration with her.

Fully in English, produced to international dark pop market standards. The reference bar is set against US and UK releases.

Andreea Bostanica is a Moldovan singer and social media figure with over 7 million followers on TikTok and 3 million on Instagram. Signed to The One Records, she is one of the most visible Romanian-speaking artists in the region. Kingdom is her first English-language dark pop single.
